Event Details:

Join us as we plant native trees and shrubs at Mill Creek Trail off Gooseberry Street. ­Trees help fight climate change by storing carbon dioxide and providing natural cooling on hot summer days. They also create habitat for local wildlife and add beauty to your community.

Location:

Meet us at Mill Creek at Gooseberry Street and Harshaw Road. Road side parking is availablePlease pay attention to road signs. Alternatively, you may park at the community centre parking as indicated on the map.

What to Wear:

· For your own safety, wear a hat, long pants, long socks (to tuck your pants into) and closed-toed shoes.

· This is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress for the weather.

What to Bring:

· Your own reusable water bottle (we have water to refill from).

· Sunscreen and bug spray.

Additional Information:

· Arrive on time. Tree planting will take place until supplies last.

· Registration is recommended. Register for this event by April 20 at noon.

· Washroom amenities will not be available.

· Volunteers under 18 please bring a signed copy of our waiver, or bring your parent/guardian to sign you in at the event.

· Volunteers over 18 please read the event waiver. You will sign this at the event.
